- Renamed the password-setup webhook (email_webhook.*, /system/email-webhook-config)
and made it the single transport for all notification emails.
- New webhook_email_service.py shared by password_setup_service and
notification_service.
- Wired test validated/rejected, campaign completed, and new-MITRE-technique
notifications through the webhook (previously dead SMTP code, never triggered).
- Added POST /system/email-webhook-test to send a real test email.
- Hid the Email/SMTP settings tab from the UI (SMTP code kept intact, unused).
- Redact email_webhook.api_key on config export.
- TestTemplate/TemplateSuggestion creation and updates now reject any
mitre_technique_id that doesn't match a real, already-synced MITRE
ATT&CK technique. Frontend swaps the free-text ID input for a
technique picker.
- Test Catalog now shows pending template suggestions before the
catalog grid, with full field detail (platform, severity, tool,
atomic ID, source URL, remediation) instead of just name/procedure.
- A manager can edit and directly re-approve a campaign they previously
rejected, instead of needing the original lead to resubmit it.
A manager organizes and validates work, so their own campaigns skip the
draft -> submit -> pending_approval queue and go straight to active with
the start_date they provide (they're the same role that would otherwise
approve it). Manager can also now create tests from the catalog, same as
red_lead/blue_lead.
serialize_modification_request crashed toward a string 'None' instead of
JSON null for requests whose test_id was nulled by the SET NULL cascade.
Also corrects two comments that still described the debunked ordering
theory instead of the actual SET NULL fix, and fixes a test that
asserted post-cascade state without committing first (the ORM only
picks up out-of-band DB-side SET NULL on already-loaded objects after
expire_on_commit forces a re-read, matching real router behavior).
Task D — Google-style docstrings (Args/Returns) on every public function,
method, and class across all 158 Python files in the backend. Zero ruff D
violations (pydocstyle Google convention).
Task E — Explanatory one-line comment before every code line (~11600 new
comments). ruff check passes clean after isort re-sort.
DB: migration b047 adds start_date (DateTime nullable) + index to campaigns.
Backend:
- Campaign model: start_date field
- CampaignCreate/Update schemas: accept start_date (ISO string)
- CRUD service: persist + serialize start_date in both serializers
- Activation endpoint: blocks manual activation if start_date is in the future
(campaign will auto-activate via scheduler)
- Scheduler: new hourly job _run_scheduled_campaign_activation — finds draft
campaigns with start_date <= now, activates them, creates Jira tickets,
notifies red_tech team
- Jira: campaign + test tickets now include JIRA_START_DATE_FIELD (configurable,
default customfield_10015). Campaign uses start_date if set, else created_at.
Tests inherit campaign start_date.
- config.py: JIRA_START_DATE_FIELD setting
Frontend:
- Campaign type: start_date field on Campaign + CampaignSummary
- CampaignCreatePayload: start_date optional field
- Create form: date picker with min=today, warning message explaining behavior
- Campaign detail header: start_date badge showing days remaining or started date
1. Campaign test deletion: removing a test from a campaign now also
deletes the underlying Test record and recalculates technique status.
2. Review Queue triggers: review_required=True is now also set when
- Sigma/Elastic detection rules are imported for a technique
- A test is validated (coverage status changes)
3. Test detail — Technique link: 'Technique' entry added at the top of
the Details sidebar showing MITRE ID + name as a clickable link to
/techniques/{mitre_id}.
4. Jira panel — read-only on test page: added readOnly + label props to
JiraLinkPanel. TestDetailPage now passes readOnly=true and the test
name as label, hiding Link Issue / Sync / Unlink controls (automatic
Jira creation only — no manual management).
- Sidebar: add `end` prop to child NavLinks so "All Tests" (/tests) is
only highlighted when exactly on /tests, not on /tests/validated.
- Backend: recalculate technique status_global for all affected techniques
when tests are deleted via delete_campaign(delete_tests=True), preventing
stale coverage metrics on the dashboard.
- Backend: add DELETE /campaigns/{id}?delete_tests=bool endpoint
- Backend: add delete_campaign() service — handles draft-only restriction,
optional test deletion, nullifies child campaign FKs
- Backend: remove early Jira ticket creation from POST /campaigns,
POST /campaigns/{id}/tests, and POST /campaigns/from-threat-actor
- Backend: activate endpoint now creates campaign Jira ticket if missing,
then creates test tickets (all deferred from creation to activation)
- Frontend: add deleteCampaign() API function to campaigns.ts
- Frontend: two-step confirmation dialog on CampaignDetailPage —
first confirms deletion, then asks whether to also delete associated tests
